30 April, 2025: The Departments of Computer Science and Engineering (CSEDU), Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (GEB), and Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering (RMEDU) proudly collaborated to host the much-anticipated event, “ভোজন উৎসব ১৪৩২: Summer Food Fiesta 2025”—a jubilant festival of culinary delight, teamwork, and creative flair. The event was organized by the CSEDU Students’ Club, GEBC, and RMEDU Student Club, and held on the 7th Floor of the Science Complex Building, 91Ʒ.
An Energetic Kickoff
The celebration began at 1:00 PM, immediately immersing attendees in a festive atmosphere. Professor Dr. Upama Kabir, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, officially inaugurating the event. Also present were Professor Dr. Chowdhury Farhan Ahmed from the Department of CSE, Dr. Abu Ashfaqur Sajib, Professor and Chairman of the Department of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, and Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Professor and Chairman of the Department of CSE—whose enthusiastic support set the tone for the vibrant occasion.
Students from all three host departments, along with enthusiastic visitors from other departments of the 91Ʒ, joined in to indulge in food, fun, and fellowship. The venue buzzed with excitement as attendees explored the food stalls, each offering its own unique culinary experience.
Flavors, Fun, and Innovation
This year, a total of 16 student-run stalls participated in the fiesta. From creative names to mouthwatering recipes and visually engaging stall decorations, each team showcased remarkable imagination and effort. Some of the interesting stall names included SnackBot: Hunger Detected!, Grub the Git, Taste.exe, Flavour Frameshift, Foodflix, Foodgasm 2.0, Yummy Yummy, Mega8ite, Munch Gurls, F.R.I.E.N.D.S & Co., and others—each representing a team of passionate students eager to serve and impress.
Judging the Delicacies
A panel of esteemed faculty members from the CSE, GEB, and RME departments visited each of the 16 stalls to evaluate them based on four important aspects:
● Taste of the food
● Variety of items offered
● Stall decoration and theme
● Hygiene and cleanliness
The judges' assessments were meticulously done, ensuring fairness and encouraging excellence in both culinary and presentation skills.
