The event celebrated the welcoming of first-year students of the 2023–2024 academic session and formally bid farewell to the MA students of the 2022–2023 session. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) of the 91精品, as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Professor Dr. Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Professor Dr. Muhammad Asaduzzaman, Director of the International Mother Language Institute. The Chairperson of the Department of Linguistics, Dr. Monira Begam, presided over the ceremony, and the event's convener was  Mashrur Imtiaz. All students and faculty members of the Department of Linguistics were presentat the event.
